Geneva to Lausanna: A two wheeled adventure

Today was my first day in Geneva, Switzerland with Drew. Now this was my first day, but Drew had previously lived in Lausanne, a city about 65km northeast along Lake Geneva. Having decided to go visit his former home we decided we would bike the distance along the lake. Here are some shots from our adventure today.

We ran into the International Olympic Committee HQ on our way.

Port in Lausanne

Some ships in the port of Lausanne on Lake Geneva facing Evian, France.

Drew posing for a shot on a Swiss plain. The natural colors of the countryside were amazing.

Drew tearing through our 9-scoop, 28 Franc, ice cream behemoth at Movenpick in Lausanne. Consumed in 15 minutes to catch the last train home.

More to come.

Uganda: Bikes

I’ve spent a lot of time in the car this past week driving with PED volunteers all around the country, capturing their work in schools and communities in need. Along the way I’ve noticed that the roads used for long-distance travel are the same ones used by locals to move about, thus leading to large amounts of foot and bike traffic. So, I’ve found myself taking quite a few photos of bikers passing by. Here are few shots from our trip yesterday from Kampala to Fort Portal, a village about 35km from the Congolese border.
